Anxiety Management
Anxiety is a natural emotion and is experienced by everyone. For some people, however, anxiety becomes overwhelming. When anxiety becomes an issue it can affect all aspects of people’s lives. If you feel that you would like to be able to manage your anxiety, perhaps an Anxiety Management course might be of help to you.


When does anxiety become a problem?
Anxiety becomes a problem when it is felt too intensely, is felt too frequently, or it seriously limits a person's life. When anxiety is a problem, it can lead to not just feeling terrible, but can seriously limit what a person feels they can and can't do. It can also lead to people avoiding situations that trigger the anxious feelings.

We have monitored the level of anxiety people had before and and after attending our classes and the results show us how effective the classes are.

What can you do to manage your anxiety?
Anxiety management begins with acknowledging the problem. Next, understanding what anxiety is and what it isn’t can help with dealing with it. Recognition of what triggers anxiety is a key part of the process. The course will give you some tools which you can use in daily life to help you manage your anxiety These tools include:

  • Relaxation techniques
  • Ways of changing the way you think
  • Ways of changing the way you act

The Anxiety Management courses consist of eight 2 hour sessions and include:
  • Understanding anxiety
  • Thought and Belief techniques for anxiety management
  • Assertiveness training
  • Communication skills - treating yourself as well as you treat others
  • Stress management and relaxation training
  • Problem solving skills
