Depression Relief
1 in 6 of us will suffer from depression at some stage in our lives. It feels like the world is against you and that there is no point in carrying on. For some it is triggered by a specific life event - birth, deaths, divorce, money or work worries. For others it comes from out of the blue and seemingly for no reason. The good news for sufferers is that it can be treated and you can recover. The best treatments have been shown to be those based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This is based on understanding how our thinking and behaviour affects how we feel and act. Then it helps us challenge the negative thoughts and negative behaviours and ultimately leads to changes in the way we feel.

Our 'Beyond Blue' classes are open to all people and consist of 8 weekly, 2 hour group sessions in which you will learn how to cope with and treat your own depressions.

More information on depression is available on the NHS website - click here.
